About Dina Rubinstein
Dina Rubinstein was not yet two when she was taken away. Her mother had been murdered six months earlier and she had been hidden with a peasant woman in a village some way from Khmelnik. She was also the sister of Maria Rubinstein, 16 years her senior.
Two days before the 'third action' she had been brought back to the ghetto because the Christian woman who had been hiding her, had some family troubles with her husband. Dina was taken away with hundreds of other babies and children and was murdered in a nearby forest.
