Don was born on June 27, 1940 to Jack Nyveen and Lily Firestone.

When Don was 4 years old, his brother Ted was born.

Education

Don grew up playing hockey and football in Saint-Lambert.

He attended Chambly County High School.

Career

His first job was working for his father at Longueuil Meat Exporting Co Ltd.

From 1958 to 1994, Don worked at Bienay as a food facilities designer.

Personal Life

In 1964, at the age of 24, Don married Anne Seltzer. After producing four children, the marriage ended in 1981.

In 1992, at the age of 51, Don married Marion Stanton.

In 1994, Don retired and moved to Freeport, Bahamas, the same place his father retired, with Marion. In Freeport, Don spent his time flying, fishing, and having family down for regular visits.
