YOUNG - Douglass J. Young -While Douglass J Young was unloading hay with a horse fork on the Sargeant farm in Wetona, about 4 o’clock Monday afternoon a pulley block dropped from the peak of the barn and struck him on the head, causing almost instant death. News of the fatality was everywhere received with expressions of the keenest sorrow and regret for the decedent was held in the highest esteem, and justly so. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Young and leaves besides his wife, who was Carrie Brooks, four sons and two daughters—Harry of State College; Roy, E J and Brooks, Dorothy and Ruth. His mother also is living and three sisters. He was active in the church and the Grange.
