JAMES LEE FISHER of Copley, passed away June 14, 2002, after a brief illness. He was born in Youngstown on December 22, 1919.
He was a graduate of Duke University in mechanical engineering. He worked at Goodyear Aircraft Corporation and retired in 1982 after 35 years with Schrader-Bellows, for which he was vice-president of engineering.
He was a past president of National Fluid Power Association and was the first chairman of US Technical Advisory Group. He served on Copley Township Zoning Commission and the Summit County Planning Commission.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. James Lee and Ethel Fisher, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maxine Sumner ; sons, James ( Nancy ) Fisher of Akron , John ( Carole ) Fisher of Lisbon ; daughter, Cheryl Fisher of Wadworth ; brother, Dr. Robert R. Fisher of Youngstown ; sister Margaret Acosta of California.
Memorial services Friday at Billow Fairlawn Chapel. 85 North Miller Road with Dr. Jay Marshall Groat officiating.
