Edgar C. Patterson, 83, of Dawes, died Monday in Charleston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of West Virginia and was a retired timberman. Surviving: wife, Ellen Elizabeth Patterson; son, James of Dawes; daughter, Mrs. Rilla Facemyer of Dawes; sister, Mrs. Mae Williams of Charleson; one grandchild. Service will be 1 p.m. today in Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with the Rev. Jack Long officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Dawes Mountain.
