About Eduardo Cansino, Jr.

He was an actor, the son of Volga Hayworth, a Ziegfeld Follies showgirl, and Spanish-Andalusian dance master Eduardo Cansino, Sr.

He was the youngest brother of actress Rita Hayworth and actor Vernon Cansino (1922-1974). The Cansino family lived in a theatrical boarding house in Broadway where Eduardo Cansino, Sr. was appearing nightly with his sister Elisa as The Dancing Cansinos.

By 1929, however the family were having trouble finding a steady job on vaudeville so they moved out west to Hollywood. Eduardo Cansino, Jr. appeared in a fair number of films during the 1950s, but generally with small parts.

   * Miss Sadie Thompson
   * The Mississippi Gambler
   * The Great Adventures of Captain Kidd

Eduardo Cansino died of cancer at age of 54, and is buried next to his brother Vernon at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
