Mr Edward 'Ted' Alfred Orlando Stroud 1, 19, was born in Southampton. 2 His mother was Caroline Louisa Stroud.3

When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 120 Malmesbury Road, (Southampton). His last ship had been the St Paul. As a second class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s.4

Also aboard was Harry John Stroud, possibly a relative of Ted's5, who was a second class steward on the Titanic.

Both men died in the sinking. 6 Their bodies, if recovered, were never identified.7

Ted's mother received financial aid of 3s 0d per week from the Mansion House Titanic Relief Fund.8
