(son of Lanson Van Fleet and Sylva Chase of Sparta, Livingston county, New York). Born 1839 in Livingston county. Came to Utah October, 1848, Brigham Young company.

   Married:	Lucy Adams May 10, 1860, Centerville, Utah (daughter of James Adams and Betsy Levitt of Lee county, Illinois, pioneers 1850, James Allred company). She was born February 4, 1839.
   Their children:
           Mary Alice, married Hart Udy;
           Elias Judson;
           Rosebell, married Lemuel Rogles;
           Sylvia, married C. H. Bourne;
           Zina, married R. H. Peck;
           Horace, married Eva Louise Soul;
   Family home Farmington, Utah.
