About Elijah Johnson, mariner

History of East Greenwich 1677-1877, pages 43-45, In which "Elijah Johnson, Mariner, lately arrived from the City of Philadelphia," was diagnosed as having Small Pox and was housed at the home of Mr. Thomas Casey, along with his mother, Deborah. Under quarantine, he was put on board the schooner, he came on and the schooner was tied at the island of "Chepinoxet", just off the Warwick coast. Deborah Johnson and the Casey family were quarantined at the Casey house and the town council appointed others to attend to Elijah. Deborah was a widow at the time. This was January 2, 1753. They did not, at this point, mention Deborah's husband. Book doesn't say if any of them died or not.
