

Eliza died on 30 December 1887, aged 85 years, at Auburn Street, Goulburn, NSW from congestion of the liver, jaundice and dropsy. Her medical attendant was Dr Morton who last saw Eliza on 25 December 1887. The informant of her death was her son, John Lansdown, of Goulburn. Eliza was buried on 1 January 1888 at Goulburn Cemetery. The Reverend Alfred T Puddicombe officiated at her funeral. The undertaker was Walter Daniel and Joseph Bray and A W Kirby witnessed her burial. Eliza was born in England and had been 48 years in NSW. She married at age 22 to James Lansdown in England. At the date of her death Eliza had 4 males and 1 female children living and 2 males and 1 female children deceased.
