About Elizabeth "Betsey" Brigham (Marean)

Elizabeth was the daughter of Major William Marean. She was the second wife of Ezra Holden (1764 - 1826). They were married shortly after his first wife died at age 27. Elizabeth also died at a young age. She is buried in the Woodside Cemetery in Westminster. Her gravestone reads: "In memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Holden 2nd wife of Capt. Ezra Holden & daur. of Major William Marean who died 18 May 1806 in the 36 year of her age Here sleep dear friend till from the skies th' archangels trumpet bid thee rise Then join the holy choirs above In anthems of widening love."
She is buried in Woodside Cemetery, Burial, Westminster, Worcester County, Massachusetts.
On April 26, 1799 in Westminster, Ezra married Elizabeth Marean Brigham, born August 26, 1770 in Hubbardston, Worcester County. He was thirty-five and she was twenty-nine. They had two children, both born in Westminster.
