Elizabeth Dunbar was the daughter of Sir William Dunbar of Hempriggs, 1st Bt. and Margaret Sinclair.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Robert Gordon of Gordonstoun, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Ludovick Gordon of Gordonstoun, 2nd Bt., in 1701.3 She married, secondly, Sir James Dunbar of Hempriggs, 1st Bt., son of James Sutherland, 2nd Lord Duffus and Lady Margaret Mackenzie, circa 1704.4 She died on 11 March 1756.5

From 1701, her married name became Gordon.3

From circa 1704, her married name became Sutherland.4
