Services for Elsye Mae Quick, 83, of 4422 State St., will be 11 a.m. Monday at McGinnis, Chambers and Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be an hour before service time Monday. She died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport. Mrs. Quick played the organ and piano throughout the Quad-cities for many years. She worked as a practical nurse for 15 years in homes and hospitals. She graduated from Davenport Central High School when she was 50 years old. Elsye Mae Dick married Guy Milton Quick in 1926 in East Moline. Her memberships included the former Two Rivers Trio. During the 1920s, she was pianist for silent movies at the Old Lyric Theater, East Moline. Former memberships included Musicians Union and the former Mount Ida Presbyterian Church, Davenport, where she taught Sunday school. Memorial may be made to Visiting Nurses and Homemakers Association of Scott County. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Audrey (Mrs. Hobart) Russell, Eldrige, Iowa; Betty (Mrs. DeRell) Johnston, Bettendorf; and Sandra (Mrs. Jim) Kuehn, Viroqua, Wis.; a son, David, Viola, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sylvia (Mrs. Carl) Wahlstrand Robnidr, Moline.
