Uncle Emil gave many years of service to the Jewish community as a member of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York. He was a member of the Committees on Family, Child Care, Vocational and Rehabilitation Services, as well as Jewish Education. He was a man deeply committed to humanitarian concern.
