1880 Census: Emily Margerum was enumerated at 1625 Dean St. in the 26th Ward, Philadelphia Co., PA as the 25 year old wife of George Margerum born in Bridesburg. This census indicated that her father was born in Bridesburg and her mother in PA. Also enumerated in the household were George Margerum, age 36; Evaline Margerum, age 2; Sallie Margerum, age 1 month; Joseph Knowles, age 28; Lucy Knowles, age 27; and George Knowles, age 6 months. 1900 Census: Emily Margurann was enumerated on Loney St. in the 35th Ward, Philadelphia Co., PA as a 45 year old head of household who rented her home. This census indicated that she was born in Jan 1855 in PA and that both her parents were born in PA. It also indicated that she was a widow and the mother of 7 children, all of whom were still living. Also enumerated in the household were Sallie Margurann, age 20; Frank Margurann, age 18; and Mary Margurann, age 12. (Reel #1477, p.10)

1910 Residence - The city directory showed Emily living at 319 Loney, Fox Chase; widow of George.
