FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR EMMA BELL ROBERTS

Mrs. Emma Bell Roberts, beloved wife of Ephraim Roberts was born at Nauvoo, Illinois on March 18, 1844 and died at Naples Ward (Vernal), Utah on January 9, 1911.

The Bell family came to Utah in 1850 and settled at Mona, where Emma Bell was married to Ephraim Roberts and where all her children were born, there being nine boys and one girl living, and two boys that went to the beyond when they were infants.

All of the living children were at the bedside at the time of their mother's death. In 1894 Mr. and Mrs. Roberts came to Ashley Valley to live and have made their home at Naples ever since. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and an active worker and member of the Relief Society and YWMIA.

During her whole life she has been noted as a conscientious woman, a zealous worker and charitable to the needy. A generous hearted and good woman, one blind to the faults of others, but quick to see the good, whose ever ready sympathy and help extended in times of need and grief, in fact one of God's chosen women has gone to her just reward and the community extends the hand of fellowship to the stricken family in their time of sorrow at the time of her death.

Mrs. Roberts had been sick but six days, the cause of death being pneumonia. The funeral services were in charge of Bishop Albert Goodrich and the principal speakers were Don B. Colton and E. J. Longhurst. Music was furnished by the Naples choir and a male quartet. Interment in the Vernal Cemetery.

May the Father in Heaven watch over her children and her children's children as she has done until they meet her in the Final Reward.
