Colored the Icones Insectorum Rariorum together with C. M. Rising for the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Student with the engraver Anders Åkerman. In 1764-10-26 Erik was proposed and appointed engraver at Åbo Akademi (i.e. Regia Academia Aboensis) in 1765, where he seemingly did not serve. Before this, Erik finished the trivium (Swedish: trivialskola) at 1750-06-09 and was a student at the gymnasium between 1750-1758. Enrolled at Uppsala University and Södermanlands-Nerikes nation in 1758-03-03.
