The Douras sisters took the name “Davies” from a realtor’s sign they’d seen in their Brooklyn neighborhood. Stage actress and sister of Marion, Rose and Reine Davies, Ethel was entertaining friends at her home when she retired to her bedroom and died from a cerebral hemorrhage.
