Also called "the painting prince". He was a student of painter Wilhelm von Gegerfelt. Studied painting in Paris between 1887 and 1889. Prince Eugene was selected in 1889 as the 1st Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm. His biggest exhibition of his work was in 1925 at the Lijlevalchs Museum. Prince Eugene contributed many works of art that can be seen in public places. The wall mural he painted in the City Hall in Stockholm took him 6 years to complete. Another of his wall murals can be seen in the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Prince Eugene also painted the altar painting in Kiruna Church
