  1. Groton Historical Series: A Collection of Papers Relating to the ..., Volume 3  By Samuel Abbott Green. He then went to New Orleans & became associated with the public press of that city. Suffered a sunstroke, which resulted in a softening of the brain, and left him in shattered condition. He must have been lost overboard from the steamer "Empire City," from New Orleans to New York, on June 21, 1859.
