About Evert Duyckingh

Evert Duyckingh arrived in 1642 from Nederland (NL) and settled in Midwout. He died in 1680. Evert was one of the first 'glaziers' in New Amsterdam - a maker of stained glass windows.

Some of the works of Evert are in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, including the coat of arms of Jan Baptist van Rensselaer.
