About Felipe Encarnacion Agoncillo

Felipe Agoncillo was the Filipino lawyer-representative to the negotiations in Paris that led to the Treaty of Paris (1898), ending the Spanish–American War and achieving him the title of "outstanding first Filipino diplomat." While already a learned lawyer during the Spanish era, he took the Bar exam in 1905 and got a 100% -- a feat still unparalleled. He served as Batangas representative to the Philippine Assembly and Secretary of Interior in 1923 during the administration of Governor General Leonard Wood. More here: http://bit.ly/K1PJwY.
