Ferdinand Petersen (1938. aastani Ferdinand Peterson, 13. märts 1887 Vahtriku talu, Lehtse vald, Järvamaa – 18. veebruar 1979 Chapel Hill, Põhja-Carolina) oli eesti insener. Lõpetas 1916 Peterburi Polütehnilise Instituudi hüdrotehnika alal. 1917 Eesti Tehnika Seltsi (ETS) esimees, 1918 ETSi asutatud tehniliste erikursuste (Tallinna Tehnikumi eelkäija) hüdrotehnika õppejõud. Veebruarist novembrini 1918 Eesti Ajutise Valitsuse teedeminister, 1919–1920 Asutava Kogu liige. A-st 1921 pidas talu, ehitas Anija hüdroelektrijaama ja saeveski ning Raasiku villa- ja jahuveski. 1944 põgenes Eestist, hiljem elas Ameerika Ühendriikides, projekteeris sildu ja vesiehitisi. 1956 koopteeriti ta Eesti Üliõpilaste Seltsi vilistlaseks. 1978 valiti ta EÜSi auvilistlaseks.

Ferdinand Petersen (1938th year of Ferdinand Peterson, 13 March 1887 Foam Riku farm Lehtse parish, Järvamaa - February 18, 1979 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina) was an Estonian engineer. 1916 graduated from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute in the field of hydro. 1917 Estonian Engineering Society (ETS), chairman of the ETS, founded in 1918 specialized courses in technical (the predecessor of the Tallinn Technical) hydro faculty. From February to November 1918 in the Estonian Provisional Government Transport Minister, Constituent Assembly member from 1919 to 1920. From 1921 held a farm, built a hydroelectric plant and a sawmill, and Anija Raasiku wool and flour mill. Fled Estonia in 1944, and later lived in the United States, was designed bridges and water structures. In 1956, he co-opted the Estonian Students' Society of Alumni. He was elected in 1978 EUSi auvilistlaseks (Honorary Alumnus)
