Ordination: 13 Jun 1950, Father Wilfred Illies

Father Illies served in the following assignments in the Diocese of St. Cloud: associate pastor, St. Mary's

Cathedral, St. Cloud, June 1950-June 1956; pastor of Christ Church, Newman Center, St. Cloud, August 1964-

August 1969; Church of St. Marcus, Clear Lake, August 1969-July 1980; Church of the Annunc-iation,

Mayhew Lake, July 1980-July 1993. Father Illies retired July 1993. He was also mayor of Clear Lake.

In addition to his pastoral assignments, Father Illies was the spiritual director of Cathedral High School 1955-

1958; director and chaplain of St. Cloud State Newman Club 1953-1969. He was appointed associate editor

of "The Priest" in 1967. He was also a diocesan consultor from 1982-1987.
