The death occurred suddenly ' this morning at his residence, 77 Webb Street, of Mr. Francis Fauvel. Tho deceased, who was in his 81st year, arrived in Wellington in 1860. He was born in Jersey, Channel Islands, and spent his youth in Labrador. After arriving in Wellington ho was for some years in the' employ of-Messrs. Beck and Tonks, timber, merchants, and with the Phoenix Insurance Co. He subsequently joined Messrs. John D'uthio and Co., Ltd., as accountant, a position which' he held for about thirty yoars, retiring in 1!)2|. The late Mr.' Fauvol is survived by his widow, two sons, and a daughter. His elder brother, Mr. Philip Fauvel, is a resident of Palmerston North.
