Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra was an American singer and motion-picture actor who became one of the most sought-after performers in the entertainment industry; he is often hailed as the greatest American singer of 20th-century popular music.
Sinatra entertained the world for six decades. He has earned numerous awards and recognitions.

* Each year on Sinatra's birthday, (December 12), the Empire State Building lights up with blue lights in reference to Sinatra's nickname, "Ol' Blue Eyes".
