Note: Fred Pellom Lamon, 88, of Rogersville, Ala., died Feb. 8, 2007, at Floyd E. Tut Fann Veteran's Home in Huntsville, Ala. Visitation was Saturday, at Roselawn Funeral Home. A graveside service was Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Roselawn Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. Dallas Culver Jr., of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. Lamon was born July 31, 1918, in Trinity, Ala., to Claude Jackson and Maude Velma Sheats Lamon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Parker Lamon. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and James Drain, Macon, Ga., Brenda Joyce and Charles Lash, Rogersville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Delinda Lee Wilson, Decatur, Ala., Kevin and Carrie Lash, Athens, Ala., Robbie and Angela Lash, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Margaret "Crick" Bradley, James "Doc" Lamon and Verna White. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 65 years, where he served in many capacities. He was a retired manager for Allied Products and was a veteran of World War II. Pallbearers were Kevin Lash, Robbie Lash, Michael Henry, Deveral Lamon, Randal Lamon and Farrell Lamon. Honorary pallbearers were the men's Sunday school group at Trinity United Methodist Church.
