About Gavin William O'Brien Cobcroft

I am Cynthia McLaglen. My father was Clifford McLaglen, actor from stage and screen, variety, and circus. His Father was The Rev Bishop Andrew Charles Albert McLaglen who was born in Cape Town in the early 18th century. One of my 1st cousins was Denise McLaglen. I only met her twice. When she vivted my sister in South Kensington she did not stay long, much to my regret. Now she and John have left us but I am grateful that she was so happy with your son. They both loved horse. My father and most of the McLaglen also love horses. I used to own a grey stallion in Kenya when I was a little girl. I always rode without a saddle. My Dad could ride on two horses at once like Denise I have a photo of him when he was practising for the 1929 Stoll film, "Boadicea" with Phillis Neilson-Terry. I would love to meet you. I also have another cousin (second cousin) called Victor who lives near Sidney and knew Denise out there. Practically the whole of Uncle Fred's family live near Geelong and the Head of the McLaglens lives in Tasmania. ( I have just seen a documentary about saving the Tasmanian Devil animals who are being wiped out by cancer. There is a programme to try and save them. Hope I will meet you some day.
