Georg (Jiři\Jiřka) Arend was born in Prague on 12 May, 1899, to Adolf Abeles and Regina Freschl Abeles. He was a mechanical engineer. He married Milena (Emilie\Milka) Popper and they had one daughter. Georg and his siblings were transported from Prague on Transport C, to the Łódź Ghetto, where he was held at Hamburger Strasse 40, Flat 20. He perished in the Łódź hospital of tuberculosis on 22 Oct., 1943.
