20 Feb 1650: According to sufficient proofe made to this Court there is due to Richard Span one hundred acres of land due to him for the transportation of these persons into this Collony. Viz. Himselfe, George Alderidge. [Northumberland County, VA Deeds, Orders 1650-1652, 49]

Northumberland County Record Book 1658-1662, p. 6: MATHEW WILLCOCKS Assignment of Land to GEORGE ALDRIDGE. Wit: PETER ASHTON. Recorded 20th 9ber 1658. [see under William ALdridge, brother of George, who was transported to VA indentured to same AShton].

p. 60: GEORGE ALDERIDGE is named as one of 18 appraisers in the Inventory and Appraisement of the Estate of THOMAS BROUGHTON deceased, taken in 166, recorded 22 July 1661.

1658 (recorded later): Northumberland County Record Book, 1666-1670: "Know all men by these presents yt I GEORGE ALRIDGE of ye Parish of FAIREFIELD and County of Northumberland have for ye value of Six Thousand Pounds of Tobo: and caske by mee in hand reced., wherewth: I doe hereby declare myself amply satisfied and contented, assigne and transferre unto FRANCIS BRICKLEY of ye Psh and County a Deed of Sale for one hundred acres of land scituate and being on LITTLE WICOCOMICO CREEKE, wch is part of a patent of Six Hundred acres of land granted into JNO MOSLEY and by ye sd MOSLEY, wth consent of MARY, his wife, graunted unto MATHEW WILCOX as by a Deed of Guift bearing dat ye 19th of July 1658 wherein thereto more at large appeare, and by ye sd MATHEW WILCOX sold unto me ye sd ALRIDGE, as by Deed of Sale bearing date ye 20 of Novembr 1658, as may at large appear: To have and to hold ye sd One hundred acres of land with edifices together with all its rights into ye sd FRANCIS BRICKLEY his heires and assigned forever, && ye sd GEORGE ALRIDGE for my selfe my heires do acknowledge ye sale of sd land at the Court held for this County, as Witnesse my hand & seale.

This is in Talbot Co. MD: THE ALDRIDGE FAMILY

1. (N) Aldridge, left at least two sons: William and George

2. George Aldridge, son of (N) (1), bro. of William, d. by Feb 1676/7. He m. Anne (N), who m. 2nd, John Mitchell. At some time, she seems to have had a son whose surname was Bullpit.

    George ALDRIGG of Talbot Co. d. leaving a will dated 1 Oct 1673 and proved 16 Dec 1679 (after his wife had already remarried). Named were wife Anne, extx., to whom he devised 350 a.; two sons, Benjamin and George were to have the plant, when wife died. Other children named were George, Thomas, Mary and John. Son John was to remain with his mother until 21 yrs. of age. Dau. Grace was devised 250 a., Old Mill. The will was witnessed by Philip Stevenson, Edward Stevens, and Jonas Davis. {MWB 10:73}
    On the last day of Feb 1676/7 Ann Mitchell, wife of John Mitchell of St. Michael's River, gave to her son John Aldridge, 150 a. in Wye River where she lately lived called Ould Mill; to son Benjamin Aldridge, 100 a. called Indian Neck; to son George Aldridge, 100 a. part of Indian Neck; to dau. Mary Aldridge, a cow; to son Thomas Aldridge, a cow; to son John Bullpitt, a cow. The sons were age 18 and the daus. were under age 15. (TALR 3:46}
    George was the father of : George; Benjamin; Thomas; John; Grace, m. William Gary; and Mary.

3. George Aldridge, son of George (2) was living in March 1687. On 22 March 1687 George Aldridge, carpenter, conv. to Richard Sweatman 1/2 of the land laid out for George Aldridge, late of TA Co., father and grantor, 350 a. called Indian Neck near Back Wye River adj. land laid our for Jonathan Hopkinson, since dec., and land of Atwell Bodell called Bodell. {Talr 5: 147}

ALDRIDGE George 1650 Northumberland Co., VA Richard Spann was granted a certificate for 100 acres of land for importing himself and George Aldridge into VA; 20 Feb 1650/51

ALDRIDGE George 1658 Northumberland Co., VA Deed of sale of land to Francis Bickley, part of a patent granted to Jno. Mosley and by Mosley, with consent of his wife Mary, granted unto Mathew Wylcox by deed of gift dated 19 Jul 1658. Wylcox sold the land in question to George Aldridge by deed of sale dated 29 Nov 1658. Math. Wilcocks was transported to Northumberland in 1655 by William Nutt. This is probably the William Nutt transported to VA in 1636 and 1637 by Bridges Freeman along with Francis Aldridge.

Names wife Anne, sons Benjamin and George. to children George, Thomas, Mary and John personalty. John should remain with his mother until age 21. To daughter Grace, "Old Mill" Test: Philip Stevenson, Edward Stevenson, Jonas Davis.

ALDREDGE George 1676 Calvert Co., MD Inventory of Calvert estate of John Parker merchant, dated 29 Mar 1676. Numerous debtors listed including George Aldredge. The administration was approved 7 Apr 1676 with George Aldridge being listed as a debtor.

ALDRIDGE George 1686 Talbot Co., MD Will of John Michell of Talbot made 31 Aug 1686, proved 18 Sep 1688. Witnesses George Craig, Ambrose Kinnamount, and George Aldridge.
