

Johnson, Jeremiah (c. 1720-c. 1749) and his wife Rebecca Hanes lived in New York. They had three children before Jeremiah died. His widow remarried George Field and lived in Wyoming Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. During the American Revolution George Field took his family to Fort Niagara and served in Butlers Rangers. The Johnson children Henry, Jeremiah and Nancy Ann came with them and following the war lived in Niagara Township, Lincoln County. Includes four generations of descendants in Lincoln, Wentworth and Norfolk Counties, and in Michigan and elsewhere. Descendant surnames included: Sharp, Dean, Haney, Garner, Livingston, Garner, McCrimmon, Webster, Comfort, Dewar, Rogers, Almost, Russell, Ellis, Sanford, Chivers, McIntyre, Attlebury, Allen, Elliott, Walker, Gardham, Phoenix, Schram, Cuthbertson, Morgan, Silverthorn
