George J. Fisher Sr., 74

KINSMAN - George J. Fisher Sr., 74, 5591, Ohio 88, died at 8:20 am, Wednesday in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, after an four-year illness.

He was born May 23, 1909 in Akron [this is incorrect], the son of George R. and Pearl M. Johnson Fisher.

A resident here 23 years, Mr. Fisher was an electrician with IBEW Local 573 for 41 years retiring in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Frances L. Braunns Fisher, whom he married Aug. 4, 1951, two sons, George J. Jr. of Fowler; James J. at home; a daughter, Mrs. Emily Mayhew of Forestville, Md; a brother Ross of Largo, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shafer-Winans Funeral Home, Cortland. Burial will be in Johnson Township Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm Friday.
