He was a partner from 1816 to 1818 with Henry Griffith (probably) in Baltimore MD as RIGGS & GRIFFITH with a shop at 74 Baltimore Street.
He worked from 1819 to 1848 as a silversmith in Baltimore MD from shop at Pratt and Hanover Streets, 1824-1831; at 38 Hanover Street, 1835; on German Street west of Hanover, 1840; and at 5 South Howard Street, 1845-1848.
