"George Sinclair of Woodhall - Third son of Sir John Sinclair, fourth Baronet of Stevenson, and Martha, daughter and heiress of Sir John Lockhart of Castlehill, one of the Senators of the College of Justice, passed advocate 17th December 1726. He was appointed sheriff of the county of Lanark in 1747, and on the death of James Graham of Easdale, he was appointed his successor, and took his seat 26th February 1751, by the title of Lord Woodhall. He succeeded, at the death of his brother, who died without issue, to the estate of Castlehill, and died 5th May 1764."
