About George Taylor II

In 1801 was sent to Orkney Scotland to be educated.

Was trained in Seaman ship and Surveying.

Joined the HBC in1819 and left in 1827.

He travelled to the Red River Settlement where in 1832 he was refered to as Commordore of the Winnipeg Fleet of two Sloops built for the lake.

-------------------- Birth and Marriage Records for this time period are very mixed up and become somewhat unreliable.

Taylor's seem to have been connected by work with HBC to George Simpson (1786-1860)
