About George Watkins Crabtree

A note in "History of Johoash Presbyterian Church, 1914-2004' notes that George went to the Davidson Military Academy, but this more than likely refers to Davis Military School, originally located in Lagrange, Lenior County, NC, until 1889 before moving to Winston(-Salem), NC. George would have attended the school while it was still in Lagrange, as his father took him to Baltimore when George's mother passed in 1887. http://www.forsythnchistory.com/davismilitary.html.
