About Georges M Teitler
Besides publishing my own trees of my four grandparents and that of my wife's four grandparents, my interest in Geni is largely in publishing the names of German Jews who lived in the State of Baden (roughly between Basle and Karlsruhe) who either emigrated before WW2 (some as early as in the 1850's) or who perished in the Holocaust. This enables generations today to re-establish a link to their ancestors because the generations inbetween perished or did not wish 'to look back' once thy left Germany. I have in my possession vey comprehensive lists of each village's Jewish population, largely unpublished yet, all the 2'500 photographs of the large cemetery of Schmieheim were most Jews of Baden were buried, access to the lists published by the German Government of Holocaust victims and I am willing to assist anyone in his or her search in this respect. I can also be contacted by email under firstname.lastname@example.org
Once upon a time one was meant to publish real photos of people listed in Geni - or if they were deceased, perhaps their grave stone. But lately some Curators (!) have abused the system by publishing photos of themselves as 2 or 3 year olds or with drawings by children instead of meaningful photos. As a publisher of almost 1'500 photos in Geni, I thought I should follow the new fashion with my 'alter ego' photo rather than the way people normally know me.
