3 Feb 1552 Granted passport John shared a business in Venice with his brother Jacomo which must have necessitated some travel. By 1566 he was back in Venice.
14 Feb 1568 John describing himself as 'at present living in Venice', gave his brother Jasper power of attorny to sell his share of the house and property on Mark Lane to Jasper's son-in-law, Innocent Locutello, for 170.00, which sum was being given to John by Innocent's brother Santo.

Antonio, Jasper and John together purchased an opulent mansion on Mark Lane known as 'the Bell' also known as 'The House of John Bacon' from Robert Southwell
It was a substantial mansion containing many wings, shops, cellars, vaults, outbuildings, courtyards, workshops and even a theatre!
John sold his share of the property to his brother Antonio a few years later, for 170 pounds
