11th NH regiment/Civil War

Gilman Crane, son of Jesse Crane and Susanna Clark, was born in Washington, Sullivan Co., New Hampshire on Mar. 31, 1816; m. CLARA A. DRESSER on Dec. 22, 1840. He has resided in Washington, Deering, and Kingston New Hampshire, the last named town being his present place of residence. During the Rebellion he served his county in the 11th NH regiment. He married 2nd, on Dec. 19, 1888 in Kingston, NH with Hannah (Webster) Colcord. She was born in Kingston, NH in 1824.

Children were: Mary J. (b. Deering 7/4/1841), Sabrina (b. Washington 6/13/1844), Clara A. (b. Kingston 7/4/1846), and Lettie M. (b. Kingston 9/3/1848).

• 1870 census: Gilman (52) and wife Adaline (48); in Kingston, NH w ch. Sabrina (26) and Clara (23). He is a harness makner. Daughters are school teachers.
• 1888 marriage record: Gilman Crane, b Washington, NH m. Hannah W. Colcord, born Kingston on Dec. 19, 1999 in Kingston, NH.She was born Kingston, NH in 1824; d/o John Webster.
