The family of Gordon Weatherstone MacKay moved to the Philippines in 1882. Together with W. Eric Little, John J. Russell, Frank W. Wakefield and W.P.G. Elliot, Gordon W. Mackay founded the Manila Stock Exchange on 08 August 1927, at the first Stock Exchange in the Philippines, located at the Insular Life Building on Plaza Cervantes, Binondo.
