About Gordon Mather Riddick

Born in New Orleans, Gordon was the son of a Navy surgeon/medical doctor. He left college (George Washington U.) in mid-second year (1941) to attend Navy flight school, and received his naval aviator wings in Jan 1942. He flew PB-Y and PB-4Y aircraft during WWII, including the South Pacific. He retired from the Navy in 1961, completed his college education at Cal Berkeley and joined the Crocker National Bank as a trust officer. He retired in late 1984. Shortly after he developed Wegener's Granulomotosis and succumbed to the disease in June 1985. He was survived by his wife and 5 of his six children; his brother and sister.
