About Guy Oliver (Otto) Mckee
Guy O. McKee, 82, R.R. 12, retired Muncie barber, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at Ball Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Linton and attended school at Lyons and Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. McKee came to Muncie in 1932 and prior to coming here had lived in Detroit.
He owned Charles Street Barber Shop, 110 W. Charles, many years prior to his retirement and earlier was employed at Columbia Barber Shop in the Delaware Hotel.
He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Truth Seekers Sunday School Class, Barber Shoppers Men's Chorus and Elks Lodge, Hartford City. He was also a long-time member of the Riverside United Methodist Church choir.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Bicknell McKee; his sister, Mrs. B.R. (Dorothy) Saunders, Marion; and two brothers, Lex McKee, Sullivan, and John McKee, Rome, Ga.
Services will be at Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and any time before the services Thursday.
