About Harriet Blake

Blake.—Harriet Bidwell Blake, daughter of Nathan and Eliza Jane Bidwell, was born October 21, 1852, in West Jefferson, Ohio, and passed away February 14, 1943, at her home in Osceola, Iowa, at the age of ninety years. She was united in marriage to Samuel A. Blake, March 25, 1875. To this union there were born five children; Norman L. Blake of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Minnie Neal, and Walter Blake of Osceola, Iowa; Mrs. Lenora Blake Ayres of Los Angeles, California; and Bessie Marie Blake who preceded her mother in death. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Wilson of London, Ohio; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church, having been baptized on June 10, 1916. She was a good Christian woman and lived her religion in her every-day life.She will be missed not only by her loved ones but by all with whom she has been associated during the years.
