• 1) Thomas Gilbert b. 25 Feb 1808, d. 8 Mar 1862, married (1st) 31 Jan 1833 Elizabeth Ruth Gay d/o Judge Gay: had no issue: m. (2nd) Jane McLellan, sister of Abner McLellan: settled in Hopewell Parish, Albert County, NB: they had four children:
• 2) Robert Keech Gilbert born 3 Mar 1809, d. 14 Nov 1857, m. 8 Nov 1841 his cousin, Deborah Gilbert born 2 Apr 1817, died 1 Jul 1873, d/o Thomas Gilbert and Charlotte Amelia Hewlett of Gagetown, NB: family settled in Dorchester Parish: had five children:
