Selected for the IPS (1949) and assigned to Hyderabad State. Has the distinction of being the 1st Mangalorean Catholic to attain the position of Inspector General of Police. Died at Mt Abu, where he was on deputation to the Central Reserve Police Force as the Director of Internal Security Academy.
