Born in Paphos, Younger brother of Efstathios Iacovides. Advocate, Mayor. Studied law at Athens University (1916). Advocate in Paphos from 1918, Member Paphos Municipal Council (1920-1923), Mayor (1953-1962), President of Banks of Paphos (1936-1944), Member National Advisory Council (1.1.1943), Board Member Bank of Cyprus (1944-1963), Member of Committee on Human Rights (1956). Travelled to London as member of for Zurich-London agreement (1959).
