About Ichabod Nye
He and his brother Samuel Nye came to Ohio in 1807 and settled near Clinton, later moving to a farm on Green Valley road. -------------------- At the Organization of Knox County, in 1808 he served on the first Grand Jury.
He was a charter member of the Masonic Lodge at Mt. Vernon in 1809.
Served as Captain of a company during the war of 1812.
