About Ignjac Hendeković

Ignjac, star 28 godina (rodni 1881), iz. Vagovine, kucni broj 79, opcina (Cazina. Oženjen. Supruga lakša i dvije kcerke: Mara i Kata. /a njega britansko ministarstvo trgovine tvrdi da je bio Austrijanac (?) i pomocni radnik. Prema jednoj informaciji s kraja 1970-ih, od njegova .se brata Valenta Hendekovica moglo saznati da je Ignjac vec ranije živio u Americi ali se vratio na neko vrijeme u Hrvatsku. Poslije se ponovno odlucio na odlazak u SAD.14 Putovao je preko agencije Viktor Klaus- Wiltii. Njegova putna karta (serijski broj 349.243) koštala je 285 švicarskih franaka ili 292 krune (današnjih 6537 kuna). Cilj njegova putovanja bio je Harrisburg, Pennsvlvanija.

Mr Ignjac Hendekovic, 28, a married labourer from Vagovina, Croatia, boarded the Titanic at Southampton together with Matilda Petranec.

To reach their destination of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he bought his third class ticket from the agent: Viktor Klaus-Wildi, Buchs for 299 Swiss francs. (ticket number 349243, £7 17s 11d)

Hendekovic died in the sinking. His body was recovered by the MacKay Bennett (#306) and buried at Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery on 10 May 1912.
