Hypothetical Genealogy

In Continuité des élites à Byzance durant les siècles obscurs: les princes caucasiens et l'empire du VIe au IXe siècle, Christian Settipani speculates that Valentinus and Manuel Arshakuni are brothers and that they are possibly the sons of Ioannes Mystacon and Placidia and also that the two of them are possibly the grandchildren of Artabanes through Ioannes Mystacon.

These relationships, while intriguing, are purely hypothetical and are not based on historical sources. As such they are not represented on the Geni tree. Rather, they are treated in this project: Hypothetical Genealogical Connections Between 6th- and 7th-Century Armenia and Byzantium
