Military service: Revolutionary War

The will of Isaac Gallup is dated March 3, 1798. Isaac went into the Revolutionary War at the age of sixty-five, becoming a Captain. Records of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) show that Isaac was at the Lexington Alarm in 1775. He represented the Town of Voluntown, Connecticut in the General Court of Connecticut from 1768 to 1773. Isacc died August 3, 1799, at the age of eighty-eight. Isaac and his wife, Margaret are buried in the Gallup Cemetery in Sterling, CT.
